I just love to see the different ways people use products. Here I have a whole stack of videos showing friends and colleagues demonstrating how they like to use the Starlight Glow Palette from Arbonne.
I adore this little box of magic but I’m nowhere near as adventurous as some of these gals! Continue reading “Get the Glow”
The skin is one of our body’s water reservoirs, holding approximately 10% of our water for functional hydration. When the skin is well hydrated, it can appear smooth, plump and radiant. When it’s not, it can by itchy, dull, flaky, prone to breakouts and over-sensitive.
Adding hydration on the inside, and direct to the skin, can help your skin look plump. smooth and bouncy, vibrant and glowing.
The brand-new Arbonne Bio-Hydria Collection can be a key tool to help you achieve super-hydrated skin. Continue reading “Is your skin thirsty?”
Getting more fibre into diet make sense on every level. Not only will it make us more healthy, protect us from life-threatening diseases, it helps keep us maintain a healthy weight. The importance of fibre in our diet is still quite a new discovery and scientists are still finding new evidence pointing to how beneficial a high-fibre diet is to our well-being.

You’re hardly human after all
Did you know you are only about 10% human. That’s right. If you add up all the cells that are part of what makes “you”, around 90% are cells that are not actually human. The rest are bacteria and other single-cell organisms that reside on our skin, in our our mouths, in our lungs, but mostly in our digestive system.
Might sound a bit gruesome but it’s actually good news. These bacteria are here to keep us healthy and happy with glowing skin and heaps of energy. But only if we treat them right. Continue reading “Why is Fibre so important?”
I’m feeling a lot better after the awful migraines of the past few days, and my energy levels are definitely up. I can’t quite believe I’ve got this far without really missing the dairy or bread which is such a big part of my normal diet. I’ve had no tea or coffee and have upped my water intake. My morning protein shakes are keeping me satisfied until mid-afternoon. A small snack is enough to keep me going until dinner at around 7.30pm Continue reading “Day 4 – cauliflower rice”
I knew this wasn’t going to be a great day. I was booked to take my gorgeous little grandson for his one-year jabs. I know he has to have them but I hate thinking of those needles puncturing his perfect skin.
We both had a good breakfast of porridge – mine with almond milk, he with full fat cows milk and yogurt. I do love porridge. It has to be one of the most perfect foods. With chopped apple, a few nuts and anything else you fancy. If I need a bit of sweetness I add a little swirl of coconut nectar (divine) or chopped up dried fig (decadent). Continue reading “Day 3 – Heartbreaking….”
Ling, ling, ling. Ling till you can’t ling any more.
It may not be the most attractive fish, and, as a member of the cod family, best eaten occasionally, but it does taste good.
Ling is not commonly eaten in the UK but is popular in Europe and USA. Some varieties grow pretty enormous and very ugly.
Why am I “linging” today? Because that was the main ingredient in my first Mindful Chef dinner. Continue reading “Day 2 – I’d like to teach the world to Ling……”
It’s arrived. Exciting!
