Wow!! This month’s Pure Perks features my absolutely favourite skincare product.
The RE9 Intensive Renewal Serum – the HERO of any skincare regime. It penetrates deeper to help your body create strong, healthy, youthful skin cells. A superfood cocktail for your skin, feeding it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It really is the best.

I mean, flippin’ heck, it’s an absolute steal. I’ve ordered mine – double!
Skin is the body’s largest organ and the one that gets the most attention.
Our skin is “us” – it’s the visible bit that everyone sees. It reflects our emotions, our well-being, our feelings, our health. Blushing, a “deathly pallor”, blue lips, goose-pimples, our skin gives away all our secrets. Including our age!!! Especially our age. Maybe our kidneys age too, but we can’t see the wrinkles on our kidneys, so, unless we need to, who spends time worrying about the state of their internal organs? Our time, energy and money is focused on what we can see.
OK, so skin tells all. We wish it wouldn’t and many of us spend oodles of dosh trying to hide the superficial signs of ageing. But have you ever wondered what happens below the surface? Knowledge is power. The more you understand what’s going on out of sight, the greater your chance of making the right decisions to keep your skin healthy, youthful and glowing. So, today we’re going to dive under your skin to find out what’s going on.
January can be a difficult month. By “Blue Monday” most of us are beating ourselves up over broken resolutions. The willpower of New Year’s day disappearing along with the last of the Christmas cake washed down with a few glasses of Baileys whilst bingeing on the box set you got from the kids. You too?
Let’s be kind to ourselves. Allow January to pass slowly by as we finish the mountain of nuts and eventually get the glitter out of the carpet. Come February we’ll be raring to go. That’s the time to start thinking ahead. The snowdrops are peeking and daffodils are already in the shops. Spring can’t be far away.
This is the last year I’ll see my fifties (yikes!). I’m a grandmother (hooray!). And the knees can be a bit dodgy in the mornings. But I’m not giving in.
When I get on the dance floor I can still show the youngsters a thing or two.
